ROCKWALL – Wide receiver Tyler McLaughlin returned a blocked field goal 78 yards for a touchdown, and Javon Hernandez scored three times from inside the 3-yard line as Rockwall-Heath held off Garland Naaman-Forest, 35-28, at Wilkerson-Sanders Stadium on Friday night.
Hernandez, who scored on runs of 1, 1, and 2 yards, set up the game-winning score with a 67-yard kickoff return after Forest had tied the score, 21-21, on Tank Mitchell's 7-yard run with 7:25 left in the game.
Dorian Lawry scored on the next play following Hernandez's return to put Heath up for good, 28-21.
Mitchell finished with three touchdowns and topped all rushers with 172 yards on 18 carries.

Rockwall-Heath (Rockwall) running back Dorian Lawry carried the ball only five times, but he finished with 120 yards in a scrimmage last week against Rowlett. Lawry rushed for 972 yards and 13 touchdowns last season and is expected to be the Hawks' workhorse this year.
